Monday Tradition?

So, is this my new weekly habit...to blog on Mondays?? Today was the first day of seminary. So far so good! I'm really blessed to have the most amazing kids in my class. I was a nervous wreck for class to start today. I got myself so worked up that I couldn't get to sleep until 2:30 am and then I set the alarm for 4:30. So, I'm pretty tired. 159 days to go.

Guillible and Lonely

So, not only did we discover this morning that we have been scammed by an Ebay crime ring, I had to send our girls to the wolves on their first day of school. It is the most unnerving feeling watching your child walk into a school with 3,000 students, half of which are half naked (man the girls wear practically nothing now days...), the other half wearing mohawks and piercings all over. I don't know who was more lonely today...Lola or me...

But they did survive the first day, of course. Bridger managed to get her locker open with the help of a teacher, Hunter is already gung ho to try out for the school play (thank you for the outlet!!), and Chloe is now officially an upperclassman who threatens to beat everyone up in her path. Just try to imagine your locker at the top of a staircase that 3,000 students move up and down on all day and you can see Chloe bullying her way through the crowd. AND...she didn't wreck the car in the mayhem before and after school!

I too survived, barely, however. I'm $2,500 poorer, a little more humble and still not prepared for seminary but the car and everyone are still intact and the best news yet...no homework!!
Yippee! We're grateful for a successful first day of school!

A New Start

I feel like this is a great place to begin our "blog life". We're all finally home after being gone almost the entire summer. At least we're all together in the same place again. I enjoyed checking the Arizona Kanenwisher blog spot this morning and feel motivated to start one for our family. I hope I'm better at blogging then keeping a journal!
