Hi there.

Just discovered your blog and think it is great! I am a fellow Kansas Citian so it's nice to find blogging "neighbors".

I was reading some of your older posts and really liked "Sleep On It". I shared it with my husband and I think that we are going to put this rule into place in our household.

We only have little ones (4 & 2) so we haven't had to go there yet, but I'm sure the day is coming. Thinking back on my sleepover and slumber party days I had to chuckle at your comment about "only going home tired and crying" as I remember those days so well.

My parents were really strict about the sleepover rule and I hated them for it. A parent finally "talked them into it" when I was in 4th grade. Man, I thought I had the meanest, weirdest parents on earth! Now that I'm a parent, I'm thinking...what? Why didn't you stick to your guns?!!!

Anyway, fortunately the good Lord was watching over me and nothing bad ever happened, but I certainly got into mischief during my teenage years. You're right...nothing good ever happens after midnight!

I am a new follower of your blog. I hope to gain more parenting advice from you as I navigate this incredibly difficult, but rewarding challenge called parenting that I have been blessed with!

Blessings to you from DeSoto, KS,
Valerie

Yup, I knew there was a reason we're friends.

Funks, no shoes, and blueberries.

Friends for life.

I love ice cold water. And I'm want to see the movie, Up!

PS: I totally dig that too many things to do swirling around in my head and putting me into a funk. I was there yesterday afternoon & again today, trying to shake it off...

I'm so there with you! So many projects that have to be done, so I'm just stepping back from everything. Then I'll stress about it at the last minute.

I always love all those questions. It's always such a fun way to get to know people better.

Now why would you automatically assume that I'm going to post this.. Hmmm??

Probably because I will... and because I have nothing planned until 6 tonight. :) See you tomorrow!
