Giving Joy on the 4th of December

"Giving Joy" is the only gift I'll be giving this year for Christmas.

It's what I have given for the last few years.

Crochet a washcloth.
Tie it to a bottle of red "Joy" dish soap with a tag that says, "Have Joy this Christmas".

How practical is that.  Joy in a bottle.

This year's Joy will sadly not be accompanied by old lady Fran's pot scrubbies.  But that's what happens when you move 2,000 miles away from Fran and her crochet wonders.  I did make the wash cloth, but I'm not ready to sacrifice my hands to the rough tulle used in making the scrubbies like Fran does.

Giving Joy, the gift that keeps on giving.

We do snowman soup. Great gift from the kids and fits our budget.

This is really such a cute idea, even though I absolutely despise doing dishes!
I just got home and had a bottle of Joy with a little note on it!

It said "Thank the Lord for dirty dishes, They have a tale to tell. While others may go hungry, we're eating very will. With home and health and happiness, We shouldn't fuss. For by this stack of evidence The Lord's been good to us.

Who knew you ladies could come up with ways for me to actually LIKE dish soap! :)
