Get lost

It may seem to some that I've gotten lost from blogging.  True, I don't post on my own blog nearly as much as I used to.  And true, I don't check and comment on other's blog hardly ever any more.

In looking over the list of blogs that I follow...hundreds of them....over half of them are blogs about cupcakes.  Yes. cupcakes.  Cupcakes are not a priority in my life right now.  Neither is anything that causes me anxiety. For so long I have loved to check out design blogs, decor blogs, crafting blogs...anything that sparked my creativity.  I still like to dabble from time to time, but I find that sometimes my envy/anxiety level spikes after spending time perusing things that just aren't and shouldn't be a priority in my life right now.  I also find that I'm feeling more content with myself and what I have when I spend less time peeking at other's eye candy. I do look.  And I do comment on those posts that have uplifted me and given me a good perspective.  It's not something to be offended by. After all...I'm still 'following' every blog in the world.

I just felt like I needed to get lost.

And it has worked for me.

And tomorrow morning, bright and early, I will be jetting off on a semi-impromptu trip with my hubby.  A few days on the eastern seaboard in a history-rich city.

I've never been there.  I know it's impossible to see everything there is to see in a short period of unplanned time. But I plan on getting lost trying.

Hopefully some lost moments will appear on my blog.  Later.

Don't miss the Holocaust Museum and take some time to sit at Lincoln's feet. I'm excited for you.

Have a great time! I love DC.

And I totally get what you mean about blogging. My attitude lately, is rather meh, as evidenced by my once a month posts.

Have a great time, Cheryl. I'm a little bit jealous because I've never been there. But Dave has promised to take me as soon as he retires.

DO...seriously...GET LOST.
You need time to "enjoy your life" and the experience the REAL LIFE experiences it has for you.
with hubby
with family
with new and undiscovered places for you.
I love blogging.....yet sometimes, I think it takes too much time out of my life when I should be doing more MEANINGFUL and CONSTRUCTIVE things.

Yes I like cupcakes
Yes I love inspiration
and Cheryl....I love you. You have stuck with me for a long time now. Do you remember, way back, when you sent a CD of a song to my house. DO you remember.
It was when I was feeling very discouraged about my son Matt who passed away
and now...........he is gone.
BUT....I still have that CD
from a special someone who took a few minutes to "connect with me"
and care
amaziing, don't you think
this whole blogging world
so..........I try and just stick with those who I feel will uplift me and CARE about me
not cupcakes

Hope you have a wonderful time.

And I understand about not blogging. My life went through a big change a few months ago (which I just blogged about:-) and suddenly a lot of things didn't seem important anymore. But then a lot of other things did. Life is ever changing, I suppose. :-)
