Hanging by a Shred

Hangin' on by a shred of sanity here in Dixieland.

You know the window that is supposed to open when a door's been shut?  Well, imagine running through a skyscraper, that's on fire, trying to find a window.  That's more like what it feels like.

In the meantime.

I found my new favorite petroglyph.  Looks like a pregnant woman with a man attached through an umbilical cord.  Learning new stuff in the desert all the time.  Looks like this guy is 'hangin' on too.  Lotsa metaphors goin' on in the rocks.

Hiking business is going well.  Keeping me busy and sometimes even keeps my mind preoccupied.

Keep on hangin'.

I think you have the absolute perfect job in the world. Would love to spend that much time outside doing something as grand as you get to do.
Sorry to hear things are crazy for you right now.

Hang on! Remember you are strong like an oak tree! I love your new favorite petroglyph, and the perspective that ancient artists give us. Love you!!!

"President Young, who knew something about trial and tribulation but also of man’s high destiny, said that the Lord lets us pass through these experiences that we might become true friends of God. By developing our individual capacities, wisely exercising our agency, and trusting God—including when we feel forsaken and alone—then we can, said President Young, learn to be “righteous in the dark.” The gospel glow we see radiating from some—amid dark difficulties—comes from illuminated individuals who are “of good cheer”!- Neal A. Maxwell

Cheryl, you are such an individual. You illuminate the world with your cheerfulness and your Christlike love. I do not know your struggles but I know that the Lord loves you. You are fighting the good fight and you will endure it well I am sure. Hang in there.

I forgot about all the petroglyphs in Southern Utah. I need to go looking next time I'm down there.

So sorry life has been sucky. :(
